The context:

In the heart of the vineyards of the Prieuré de Saint Jean de Bébian, this former 16th-century monks’ residence has been completely renovated under the direction of interior designer Raymond Morel. Combining the rusticity of old stones with the modernity of contemporary materials, this exceptional place is an invitation to calm and serenity. Nestled between century-old olive trees and a 12th-century chapel, the hotel is the ideal setting for a getaway from the hustle and bustle, while still being just a few kilometres from the historic centre of Pézenas and the region’s tourist attractions.

Kollectors’ solution:

Create lighting that reflects the history of the site while bringing a soft, modern feel. The bespoke luminaries were designed to blend harmoniously with the structure of the hotel, highlighting the architectural details while playing with the volumes of the spaces. Indirect lighting, judiciously placed, brings warmth and comfort to the old stones, while the custom-made contemporary furniture strikes a subtle balance between the authenticity of the place and a touch of modernity. In this way, each space becomes an invitation to relaxation and well-being, in a refined setting where past and present are elegantly intertwined.

The result:

A transformed space, where the light sublimates the materials and reveals all the richness of the architectural details. The rooms, bathed in softness, are genuine cocoons where the lighting changes with the time of day, creating a soothing and elegant atmosphere. Thanks to a lighting design that respects the soul of the place, the Hôtel du Prieuré has become an essential destination for relaxing in the heart of nature and history.
