The context:

Renovate an old Bordeaux building into a yoga space, while respecting the original architecture. Preserve the authenticity of the premises while creating a luminous atmosphere conducive to relaxation and the various yoga practices. In blind rooms, such as the yoga room in the basement, imagine an approach combining functional lighting with natural softness.

Kollectors’ solution:

In the basement yoga room, create soft, indirect light to mimic the soothing sensation of natural light. Lighting on the white ceilings, entirely controlled by a dimming system, allows the brightness to be adapted according to the intensity of the classes: dim for relaxation, brighter for strengthening sessions.

In the upper areas, transparency and elegance are the order of the day. Crystal pendant lights add an airy decorative touch while preserving the initial feeling of volume of the large rooms. Above the bar, Art Deco-style brass pendant lights blend harmoniously with the design of the furniture, diffusing a soft, all-encompassing light that envelops the space.

The result:

A serene, warm atmosphere in which light becomes a central element of well-being. The practice areas, bathed in soft, natural light, invite participants to relax and escape, while the reception areas combine transparency and elegance to offer a soothing visual experience in keeping with the spirit of yoga.
