In the emblematic Hôtel de la Marine, École Cordon Bleu Paris wanted to preserve the maritime spirit while offering a functional space for culinary training and public demonstrations. Each space had to combine the historical elegance of the place with modern requirements for comfort and efficiency for chefs and students.
Create a lighting design that enhances the marine spirit. Playing with subtle lighting, the period mouldings are highlighted by delicate backlighting, while contemporary low luminance luminaries ensure optimum comfort. In the presentation room, the chef benefits from adjusted lighting that highlights his work without dazzling the public. The kitchen, meanwhile, has technical lighting that ensures perfect visibility of the worktops, while maintaining a soft, functional atmosphere.
In the hotel’s reception area, a mix of bronze and brass recalls the elegance and robustness of the navy, reinforcing the visual identity of this unique place.
A luminous scenography that harmonises past and present, while paying homage to this legendary place, just off the Place de la Concorde. Each area of the École Cordon Bleu, from the presentation room to the kitchen, reflects the maritime heritage of the Hôtel de la Marine, while providing a functional environment ideal for culinary demonstrations and workshops.
